The Federal Polytechnic Bauchi invites applications for its 2023/2024 Post-UTME admission into National Diploma programs. Candidates who chose the Polytechnic as their first choice in JAMB are eligible, provided they meet other requirements and pay a N2,000.00 screening fee.

Some Fun Facts About Federal Poly Bauchi
- The Polytechnic began operations in May 1979, but academic activities officially commenced on 22nd November 1979.
- Initially, there were 245 students registered across eleven departments, with all students except those in the introductory course enrolled in the 4-year Nigerian National Diploma (NND) Programme.
- The Polytechnic started with a total staff strength of 138, consisting of 45 senior staff and 93 junior staff.
- The first Governing Council of the Polytechnic was appointed in February 1981, with Alhaji Y.A. Olatunji as Chairman.
- Initially, administrative departments were housed in two buildings along Yandoka Road, while the Bauchi Teachers College provided facilities for students’ hostels, cafeteria, lecture rooms, and more.
- In 1980, when Bauchi State Government established an Advanced Teachers’ College, the Polytechnic vacated the Unity College for its permanent Site.
- Academic activities were temporarily held in rented houses along Ran Road in Bauchi, with female hostels in Yelwa village and male hostels near Gubi Dam Road junction.
- Plans for a demonstration farm for the Department of Agricultural Engineering at Wailo were initiated at the Polytechnic’s inception.
- The Wailo location became a satellite campus in 1981, hosting the Department of Agricultural Engineering and Basic Science, managed by Director Dr. N.C. Ude
- By the beginning of the 1982/83 session, all units moved to the permanent campus at Gwallameji village along Bauchi – Dass Road, spanning about 750 hectares
- In 1983, due to financial constraints, the Wailo Campus was closed, and all departments were consolidated at the permanent site.
Candidates Eligible to Buy Federal Poly Bauchi Post UTME Screening Form
- Candidates must have a minimum of four (4) Passes at SSCE/NECO level or an equivalent qualification, obtained at one or two sittings.
- These passes must include English Language and Mathematics, as well as any other two passes relevant to the area of interest.
- All candidates must sit for and pass the PCE JAMB examination and be officially admitted by JAMB before advancing to ND programmes.
