Joseph Sarwuan Tarkaa University (JOSTUM), formely Joseph Sarwuan Tarkaa University was established on 1st of January, 1988.
Had evolved from the defunct Federal University of Technology which was established in 1980 and later became the Makurdi campus of the University of Jos (UniJos) in October, 1980.
FUAM vision is to become a major institutional player in the process of National and global human resource capacity building in agriculture, science, engineering and technology (ASET) for rapid economic growth.
FUAM mission is to develop the human mind to be creative, innovative, research oriented, competent in areas of specialization, knowledgeable in entrepreneurship and dedicated to service hence the UAM logo “Innovation and Service”.
The pioneer vice-chancellor was Professor Anande Richard Kimbir.

How to Apply for JOSTUM/FUAM Post UTME Form

Steps for Online Registration:

Post UTME/Direct Entry Screening: Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of N2,000.00 (Two Thousand Naira) only, (Bank/Service charge Exclusive) at fees.uam.edu.ng.

Candidates will be given a Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi UTME Screening Payment Slip from the Bank containing Candidate’s JAMB number as User Name and Payment Pin as Password.

Candidates are required to register online for the UTME/Direct entry screening registration form available on the University http://www.uam.edi.ng/ (follow the guideline on the website).

Candidates are required to use their UTME number as username and the PIN from the payment voucher as their password.

Candidates are expected to provide correct information about their candidature on the University Portal and make a printout of the online registration from the University website.

Payment Options for Fees/Charges:

First, generate your RRR number. Go to the University website fees.uam.edu.ng ONLY (Not Remita website or a Bank Branch) to generate your RRR number.

After generating your RRR from the University website ONLY, choose any of the three payment options below to proceed with payment.

The University Portal has three payment options. These options are:

Internet Banking: go to the University website and follow the instruction on the website to make your payment on the portal using your bank ATM card.

Mobile Banking: Use your ATM card on a mobile device (i.e. internet ready handset, ipad, etc) on the fees portal to pay your fees/charge.

Bank Branch: Go to any branch (nation-wide) of all the commercial banks on REMITA to pay the non-refundable fee of N2,000.00 only.

All candidates must bring the following documents to the screening venue at their assigned college:

(a) Printout of online registration payment receipt showing N2,000 screening fee was paid (bank fees not included)

(b) Printout of JAMB score sheet

(d) O’Level scratch cards for result verification (cash to purchase cards not accepted onsite)

Important Note:

Both UTME and Direct Entry applicants must upload their O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, etc.) to the JAMB CAPS website. This must be done at a JAMB office or accredited CBT center prior to the screening exercise.
