Candidates Eligible to Buy MCU Post UTME Screening Form

• UTME (Entry into 100 Level) for Nursing Sciences:
  • Candidates must obtain credit level passes in Biology, Chemistry, English Language, Physics, and Mathematics at SSCE, NECO, GCE, or equivalent, in not more than two sittings.
  • A satisfactory UTME score and performance in McPherson University Screening examinations/interviews are also required.
• Admission Requirements for a 4-Year B.N.Sc. Degree Programme (Direct Entry into 200 Level):
  • Candidates should have five credit passes in SSCE, NECO, GCE, or equivalents, along with two ‘A’ level passes in Biology and Chemistry.
  • Alternatively, OND/HND in Medical/Biological Sciences may be considered, provided other admission requirements are met.
  • Registered Nurse or Midwifery Certificate holders with five credits at ordinary level GCE or SSCE, including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry, can also apply.
• Transfer to B.N.Sc.:
  • Transfer from other faculties of recognized universities or from the B.Sc. degree course in Biological Sciences/pure sciences in this or other recognized universities is possible.
  • Candidates must satisfy the admission requirements mentioned earlier for Direct Entry into 200 level.
  • Transfer from a B.N.Sc. degree program of a recognized university is subject to the faculty’s approval, with admission level determined by the faculty, not exceeding 300 level.

Transfer from other faculties of this or other Universities recognized by McPherson University. After successfully completing a B.Sc. degree course in Biological  Sciences/ basic or pure sciences in part or whole in this or any other Universities/recognized by McPherson University, a candidate may be considered for admission into 200 level of the B.N.Sc. degree of this University provided such a candidate satisfies the admission requirements as prescribed in above.

A candidate from B.N.Sc. degree programme of a recognised university may be allowed to transfer into the programme after the faculty has been satisfied that the candidate has genuine reason for applying for transfer and has met all the criteria for transfer into the programme. However, such transfer student shall be admitted at a level to be determined by the faculty but not higher than 300 level.
